Software-defined networking (SDN) is the foundation for digital transformation for Service Providers today. NSX-T 3.0 supports cloud-native applications, bare metal workloads, multi-hypervisor environments, public clouds, and multiple clouds and “helps enterprises achieve one-click public cloud experience wherever their workloads are deployed’, as VMware says.
To accommodate different business models, NSX-T 3.0 has a flexible licensing model. The four different tiers of NSX-T 3.0 – Standard, Professional, Advanced and Data Center – bring more flexibility to your deployment options than was previously available. The model that applies to your business model depends on the typical workloads you have. You can have multiple versions for different tenants: one fits the Professional edition, while another may need the Advanced edition. You are not tied to one edition, because you can mix and match them according to your business model.
NSX-T 3.0 offers a number of benefits for all Service Providers to improve SDN processes and take a major step forward in the digital transformation journey.
